Chapter 01 · The Player

She Was There Before Anyone Else.

Parvathi was i-Sports' very first student — training under her father Krishna Kumar S at age 6 on a single cement court in 1998, before the academy had a name or a reputation. She grew alongside every chapter that built i-Sports.

She competed fiercely at state, national and international level — earning every title herself. She balanced tournament badminton with a 5-year Architecture degree, waking at 3:30 AM to train before college. She graduated as VTU University Gold Medallist and college topper for all five years, while reaching India #7 ranking simultaneously.

Chapter 02 · The Comeback

She Lost Everything. Then Built It Back.

In 2021, the COVID Delta variant put Parvathi in ICU for 23 days. She lost 28kg of muscle mass. Her digestive system collapsed and she survived on liquid food for 8 months. Her world ranking dropped to zero.

She didn't stop. Through structured rehabilitation, sports science and sheer will — she went from zero ranking back to BWF World #135 within a six months of time. Her doctor called the recovery miraculous. That comeback is the measure of who she is.

Now She Leads What She Helped Build.

Armed with 20+ years as an i-Sports athlete, a Masters in Sports Science, a professional Architecture degree and a proven track record as a competitor — Parvathi became Director of i-Sports. Not by inheritance. By qualification.

Today she oversees coaching operations, sports science integration, athlete monitoring, nutrition planning, performance analysis and the academy's expansion — while continuing to compete internationally as a professional badminton player.

— A Word From Our Founder —

Why We Do What We Do

Krishna Kumar S

Founder & Head Coach, i-Sports

"

When I started i-Sports in 1998 with just 3 kids on a cement court, I had one belief — that every child who picks up a racket deserves world-class coaching, regardless of their background. That belief has never changed.

Over 27 years, I have watched players come through our doors as complete beginners and leave as national champions, international competitors, and BWF-ranked athletes. I have seen underprivileged kids transform through the discipline of badminton into confident, successful young people. That is what this academy is really about.

We don’t just teach badminton. We build diamonds. Every player who walks into i-Sports is a rough diamond — our job is to cut, polish and reveal the champion inside. That is the i-Sports mission, and it always will be.

To every player, parent and coach who has been part of this journey — thank you. You are the reason i-Sports exists, and the reason we will never stop pushing for Olympic gold.
